SFSU Library  Library Assistant II - Serials Acquisition (Apr 1990 - Jul 1996)

In charge of serial/series acquisition. Worked as a professional serialist for a public university. Network and licensing coordinator for local and statewide software agreements. Created and implemented online systems for collection management accounting.

Developed software tracking tool and corresponding database to claim outstanding standing order volumes. Worked at Reference and Information desks taking calls and email from users with research and information resource questions, when scheduled. Provided information on serial holdings and acquisition policies. Managed student and clerical assistants in standing order invoice processing and serial check in as required.

Major Project:  RFP development for the California State University System, 1994-1996:  Evaluated and wrote system specifications to handle acquisitions and revolving orders of academic library materials. This work required software and manual business process analysis, written test plans and user evaluations. RFP used to close purchase of a UNIX-based Innovative Interfaces INNOPAC online library catalog and transactional system for 6 CSU library campuses.
