Interior, Living Room. The doorbell is ringing and Rose is walking towards the front door.

Rose
Coming Laszlo.

She opens the door.

Hi Laszlo, come in. Blanche just went to get a jacket.

Laszlo
Thank you Rose.

You know, we are so excited about what you two are doing. I'm sure it's going to come out great.

Laszlo
I wish I was so sure.

Rose
What do you mean?

Laszlo
Well, I'm having second thoughts.

Rose
About what?

They both sit down on the couch.
Laszlo!!!

Laszlo
Well, when I met Blanche, I thought she would be the perfect model for the piece I had in mind. You know, sexy, sassy, exciting. But now I'm thinking there are other qualities I wish to capture.

Laszlo gets up and walks behind the couch.

Rose

Laszlo
Innocence, wholesomeness... naivete. I see a woman with a fuller figure, wider hips, wider eyes.

Laszlo stars directly into Rose's eyes. Rose is completely enamoured. Laszlo pauses before saying...

Rose, I have to ask you something.

Rose
Well I know what it is.

She stands up and faces him.

You're going to ask me to pose for you too.

Laszlo

Rose Stares At Laszlo

Rose
Oh. Oh, I'm so embarrassed.

Rose blushes and looks away.

Laszlo
That's it! That's exactly the quality I want to capture. Oh take my key Rose. Come to my studio, we will make a beautiful sculpture together.

Rose
What about Blanche?

Laszlo
Well I will still see her and she doesn't have to know about you. How about tomorrow morning at 10?

Rose
Oh, that seems so dishonest. I mean, Blanche is a dear friend. It would be a betrayal.
Rose is Embarrassed

Blanche enters from the bedroom hallway.

Blanche
Here I am Laszlo. Did Rose manage to keep you entertained?

Laszlo
Yes, I find her charming.
Blanche Laughs at Rose

Blanche busts up laughing.

Blanche
Oh Laszlo, that's what I love about you. You can tell a bald face lie and still sound sincere.

Blanche rummages through her purse.

I forgot my compact, I'll be right back.

Blanche exits back into the bedroom hallway.

Rose
Give me that key!

Laszlo hands the key to Rose. Cut to exterior of house.
